The Hon Darren Chester, the Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, along with Mr James Goodwin, Chief Executive Officer of ANCAP, (the Australasian
New Car Assessment Program), visited the APV Test Centre on November 16th, to tour the facilities and to later meet with Media from Channel 7 to discuss
the rising Australian road toll and the importance of the New Car Assessment Program.

During the visit Darren, had the opportunity to see first-hand Australia’s most advanced test facility of its type supporting advanced manufacturing in
Australia and our contribution to road safety, survivability, and passive safety systems - (systems that ensure occupant protection, whether it be
motor cars, military vehicles, helicopters, etc,etc).
In addition to the testing for ANCAP on vehicle safety and a live Bull Bar test, Darren and James, witnessed Airbag Deployments, Child Seat Testing, Car
Seat Cover and Industrial Durability testing that was underway for our customers. It is hard not to come away impressed from such a visit.
Similarly, they could see the extensive work going on behind the scenes into our Seatbelt and Military Restraint development and testing – all Australian
designed and manufactured product, from which 40% of revenues are derived from exports.
