APV Safety Products Pty Ltd. (APV-S) is a privately owned, global supplier of Seat Belts, Harnesses, Snatch Straps, Tow Straps, and related products. APV-S is the Australian and New Zealand market leading supplier of safety restraint and seat belt systems for Coach, Defense, Industrial, Fork Lift, Motor-Sport sectors and the Automotive Aftermarkets. APV-S is also a significant supplier to the North American safety restraint and military vehicle sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop a long term career within the Passive Safety Systems Market. The position is based at Campbellfield Victoria, and personnel with either prior sales or sales engineer or engineering experience are encouraged to apply. This role requires the individual to be confident in dealing with external stakeholders, however an engineer or other candidate with a passion for and ability to deal with Safety Critical Products will be successful in this role.

The ideal candidate will have worked within the Automotive Industry at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier level, a major Automotive Aftermarket distributor, such as Repco or Burson’s, or have prior experience as a Sales Engineer with a mechanical engineering background.

The candidate must be able to work with customers to understand their specific technical requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs, and have the aptitude to deal within a Regulatory, OH&S and rigorous product certification environment as required for Safety Critical Components.

As a Sales / Account Manager or Sales Engineer you will be responsible for working with the organisation to:

  • identify opportunities to increase sales of products by developing existing customers, creating new customers, new sales channels and new products.
  • develop promotional strategies to grow the APV Safety Products brand and sales in nominated market segments.
  • assess new markets, analysing new business opportunities, and assisting with product engineering, design and development.
  • develop and maintain critical relationships (i.e. category and sales managers) with key accounts, APV’s distributors, specialist stockists and installer network.
  • responsibility for Product Range specifications, catalogues and associated marketing materials. 
  • work with Engineering to assist in new product development.
  • stay abreast of the all standards relating to our products.
  • leverage off APV Safety Products and related entities to promote the APV brand and increase sales across the group.
